Getting Eloped at MbM

If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule you for another day.

 

On the day of your elopement, we will provide you with your copies. We will then file your original documents with the county on your behalf.​

 

If you are bringing your own marriage license, please make sure not to remove any documents from the folder you picked up from the county. Only witnesses will sign if you obtained a public marriage license.  No witnesses are required for Confidential licenses.

 

Elopements in our office generally takes a minimum of 10 minutes to a maximum of 30 minutes.

 

Office elopements are usually booked per half hour; therefore, no room décor is permitted. Hand bouquets are welcomed.

 

If desired, you can read vows to each other or other short readings & exchange your rings. Please let us know beforehand.

 

When it comes to your wedding attire, it is completely up to you! Some brides and grooms show up in a traditional wedding dress and suit while others keep it more casual by dressing semi-formal.

 

No food or drinks are allowed in the office.

Marriage License Requirements

A driver’s license, ID card from any state, or a passport from any country (all documents must be valid). You must be over 18 years of age and living together in order for us to sell you the marriage license, otherwise, you can buy a Public Marriage License from the local registrar recorder's office. Then, you can call us to perform a beautiful ceremony for you. If either of you have been divorced in the last 2 years you MUST provide proof of dissolution.

Cancellation Policy

Events cancelled 30 days or more from ceremony date will be refunded at 50%, if paid in full prior. For events not paid in full, cancellations will be at the client’s own discretion and are non-refundable, due to our demand and scheduling requirements. In other words, please be certain before you cancel. No exceptions. 

Rescheduling Policy

Deposits are non-refundable, but are transferable to another available date if clients notify MbM in writing via email to: [email protected] at least 7 days prior to the original ceremony date. If notice is given less than 7 days prior to the original ceremony date, clients may be responsible for the full fee of the new booking, as well as additional fees on the rescheduled ceremony date. The ceremony date may only be changed to an available date within one year from the date the deposit is paid. All reschedules must be confirmed in writing. You can change the date & time once (1) free of charge. Any additional changes will incur a $75 change fee, payable to the Officiant.
